Conservatories

Although now seen as a traditional option for creating space at home, there is still a market place for glass and polycarbonate roofs. Both of these roof options do not fall under building control regulations so may offer some relief if the ground conditions are either tricky, or costly to comply. However, we seem to find the main reason why people still buy and use conservatories is an extension to the garden and for the more pleasant months in the year.

Picture yourself with your breakfast and the French Doors open, birdsong and the early morning sun’s warmth! This is the type of space to relax, grow plants, have an extra reception area when the grandchildren are around without the concerns of carpet spills etc. You may favour a dwarf wall to house pots and coffee mugs, or potentially you want full-length glass for unobstructed views of all your hard work on the lawn. These spaces are more economical to design and build than an extension and will offer good value for large parts of the year.

Relief from the sun and the hotter months can be found more detailed extra glass specification. We have options to reduce the solar gain into the room and to stop fabrics from being bleached by harmful UV rays.

Conservatories can be designed in all sorts of shapes and sizes; Edward, Victorian, P-Shape, L-Shape, lean-to, wrap-around, double-hipped, gable fronted, corner-hipped…..the list goes on!

A site consulation will be followed with a CAD drawing to help visualise the room. We can even super impose the design onto the back of your house.

Choose from a wide range of over 20 colours to really make the conservatory a thing of beauty. Many people tend to retain white on the inside to promote light and neutrality. When building the base and brickwork you can choose from feature brickwork inside and out. Alternatively, you can have render or cladding on the outside.

Feature doors in these conservatories can be French doors, patio sliding doors or aluminium bifolds.

Edwardian

Perhaps our most popular conservatory style, maximising the living space whilst offering a softer sightline to that of the lean-to. Depending on the application we can offer full length glass, Velux windows and SunShade glass panels.
